Illustrator Zutto

Zutto
I found these illustrations created by the artist called Zutto who is graphic based in Russia. The illustations are very dreamy looking and surreal with the use of vibrant colours and character design.

Matthew Skiff, a vector illustrator who combines graphic and illustration to create his artwork which is normally created for t-shirt designs and for bands. I like the style of the black lines and shading with the simple block colours. They all work wel together and arent too busy or too much to look at.

Type Adamas Regular

This is a free font I found called Adamas Regular. I thought the font was very interesting and decided to save the link just incase I decided it would be useful through this project. The lines create nice dimension and effect of depth into it.

Barbara Kruger

Barbara Kruger is an American conceptual artist who addresses issuses such as feminism and consumerism. She uses advertising and communication to explore identity and gender in her work. She normally merges together photography and typography with the use of black and white and bright blocked reds, this makes it quite aggressive to look at with the contrasting colours. You, your, I, we and they is used alot in it to create a target audience making it more personal to people who read it. I would like to look at how she uses simplicity yet makes it so effective, I like the idea of the black and white mixed with the bright red and may consider to experiment with this in my work.
This is a website to the 40 best free fonts on the web I found which I thought might come in handy if I ever decide I need typography on my project.

Collage Illustrator - Eduardo Recife
Media that Recife normally works with include pencil, paint, computer, photography, and collages. Recife’s creats illustrations which have a characteristic vintage feel and an old-era style, something I find is really nice to look at. I like the old feel given. His type is beautiful and detailed and really stands out on its own with the rest of the collages.

Propaganda Posters

Propaganda we're posters created around the second world war. I found them to be relevant to look at because they were normally used on quite negative things such as war. I want to show negativeness in some of my designs so they would be quite useful to look at. They are quite quirky with bold colours and text, yet keep it simple to understand in a quick glance. San serif text is used alot through the designs. I think the vintage grainy feel to them is also nice to look at.

Photos that changed the world

I collected some of the most well known photographs which changed the world and how we see things. They are very key to how humanity has been shaped and a big part of our achievements, hopes and mistakes.

A mood board which shows some of humanities true nature towards one another at times.

I bought some newspapers and every story seemed to have some kind of violence or made me question what humanity is actually like, how can so much pain and killing come from us? It kinda shows the violent side of us and how destructive we can really be. These stories were only taken from like 2 newspapers between 2 days yet so much death and violence can be seen.

Things that cause war in humanity?

1. Jealousy
2. Money
3. Power
4. Democracy
5. Religion
6. Nuclear Weapons
7. Restricted Warfare
8. Narrowminded people
9.Land
10.Resources
11.Greed
12.Governments
13.Fear

Conflict.
The way a society is organised can create the causes of conflict and the conditions which can happen. A society which is organised wrongly such as with people being treated unfairly or unequally is likely to have conflict.
As humans we have basic needs such as everyone being recognised as individuals with there own opinions and personal identity, everyone needs to feel secure and safe in everyday life ect. If these things arent met it can further the problem and create rebellion, violence and protests among society's. This will all create conflict and pain in humanity meaning really we are ruining what we have achieved and built as a race.

Suarez Art

These pieces or illustrations are created by using different brush strokes on photoshop. I really like these illustrations even though they seem abit messy and un-organised with some of the brush strokes, The roughness adds this effect of anger and danger which is something id like to show in my work symbolising the angry side of our planet and what we have done to it. The use of black and white and maybe one colour also works really effectively, just one little bit of colour can totally change how we read the image which i think is very important to think about.

7 Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins, also known as the Capital Vices or Cardinal Sins, is a classification of objectionable vices (part of Christian ethics) that have been used since early Christian times to educate and instruct Christians concerning fallen humanity's tendency to sin.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins

what are the 7 sins?
# 1 Lust - an intense desire, sexual, desire of money, fame, power ect.
# 2 Gluttony -  is the over-indulgence and over-consumption of anything to the point of waste.
# 3 Greed -  is, like lust and gluttony but rather to do with disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain.
# 4 Sloth - defined as physical laziness or even spiritual laziness.
# 5 Wrath - self-destructiveness, violence, and hate that may provoke.
# 6 Envy - is similar to jealousy in that they both feel discontent towards someone's traits, status, abilities, or rewards.
# 7 Pride - considered the  most serious of the seven deadly sins. It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive love of self ect.

These are all traits which some of humanity posses or feel towards others.

Created by Manfish Inc. The simpleness and elegant shapes used on these illustrations are lovely to look at. The concept of the images themselves don't really have anything to do with the project but I really like the limited colours used and block effect of it all. The lines add a touch of detail making them more interesting to look at also. I think I would like to have this simpleness on my designs because it makes them easier to read into and less busy and complicated to understand.
